Best Candidates

After a thorough eye evaluation, we should be able to determine whether contact lenses or eyeglasses are the most effective treatment for your vision impairment. For many, contacts are the easiest way to attain clearer vision. In addition to convenience, contact lens technology has recently made numerous improvements. A few of the most preferred types of contacts we offer include daily wear, single-use, bifocal, and HD contact lenses. On top of that, current contacts are more comfortable now than previous designs with 90% of contact lens users having no discomfort.

For anyone who might not be ready to try to insert contact lenses or who have particular eye conditions, prescription glasses are also a great option. Just like contact lenses, glasses have undergone great innovations over recent years and boast many advantages. They are usually not as pricey as contacts, easy to travel with, and offer great convenience. In addition, glasses defend the eyes from several outside elements and do not irritate dry or sore eyes as contacts often do. However, many patients opt to use a combination of both glasses and contacts for various activities.

Contact and eyewear options

When you come in for your exam and consultation, our team will help you make the best choices for your specific requirements and lifestyle. At Cataract & Refractive Institute of Florida, we will devote extra time and consideration to making sure you receive the right frames and lenses or the most appropriate contact lenses. Furthermore, we will help you stay close to your desired price range. In addition, we are proud to offer an in-depth training session for putting in and taking out contact lenses for all ages.

Follow-Up Exam

For those who choose glasses, Dr. Croley will schedule a follow-up to ensure the frames fit comfortably and if any adjustments are needed. Those who select contacts generally do not need a follow-up appointment as precise measurements of your eyes are taken at the time of your initial appointment and ordered according to your prescription. Everyone should note, however, that follow-up visits never substitute for routine complete eye exams. These need to occur at least every other year. During comprehensive exams, we will evaluate the overall wellness of your eyes, along with your lens prescription, to decide if it needs to be revised.

Dependable, Clear Vision

Better vision is basically one appointment away. Vision impairments, like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and presbyopia, can cause a lot of emotional ups and downs, but thankfully, each of these concerns is easily treatable. No one should need to battle to see clearly when doing their usual tasks. We invite you to call the Cataract & Refractive Institute of Florida to arrange a consultation. We boast locations in Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, and Bonita Springs, FL.
